Adding an External User to Salesforce Open https:portal.azure.com Proceed to Add a new user Enter the user Name as first.last Add a number sequence at the end of the last name if it already exists (i.e. ambyr.munson1@navigators.org) Always use the navigators.org domain not the navigators.onmicrosoft.com domain. Enter Full Name i.e. Ambyr Munson Enter First Name Enter Last Name Create the password yourself through some random generator on line 16 characters and a complex random password. Select the 0 groups Selected Link In the search box search for salesforce and select the Salesforce External User group and click the Select button at the bottom. It will then show 1 groups selected Select the appropriate Usage Location Make up some identifying data related to Job Title, Department, and Company Name. Be careful not to use a real navigator department. It wkill add them to some dynamic groups. Select a manager. This will be the person in the navigators that is responsible for granting access to this individual in our enviornment. They will be the person we call if we need more information about this person. Do this by clicking the “No manager selected” link Search for the person in the search box, select the person and then click the select button at the bottom of the page This is the final result. Click the create button at the bottom. Search for the new user and navigate to the user you created. Edit the record and add any contact information you received, phone and email and click save at the top of the page.
